Огляд смартфона Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro

Just as there are films in the world of cinema that are immediately referred to as "this is an Oscar", so among smartphones there are one hundred percent contenders for the title of bestseller. Any smartphone of the Redmi line is one of them. Today we will take a look at the Redmi Note 10 Pro and find out what is so and what is wrong with this smartphone.

Let's start with the design. The smartphone does not look very good, but it does not cause a wow effect either. On the contrary, it is rather a typical mid-size both in front and behind. The surface of the back cover is glossy.

Well, at least the case in the kit is matte, with it everything gets a little better. However, the eye here is attracted not by the color scheme, but by a huge block of cameras. And, although Xiaomi tried to hide its thickness by making some kind of ladder, it still protrudes strongly, which contributes to the accumulation of dust.

However, the Redmi Note 10 Pro itself is quite thin and fits well in the hand. But if you take it with both hands and run Minecraft or Brawl Stars, problems start. First, you put your finger on the camera and stain it, and secondly, you cover the speaker grille on the upper edge, which gives a pleasant stereo sound.

By the way, despite the fact that the back cover here is glass, the frame is still made of glossy plastic. In addition to the volume buttons, infrared port and stereo speakers, a fingerprint scanner is also placed on the edge of the smartphone. It works, of course, fast, but the very fact that the class neighbors are already equipped with sub-screen scanners spoils the impression a little.

As for the front panel, everything is extremely normal here. Not the thickest, but not at all thin frames, a sloppy cutout for the camera in the middle and a noticeable chin at the bottom. But! The screen itself, at the same time, is significantly pumped compared to last year's model. Unlike the Redmi Note 9, an AMOLED display is installed here, which allowed you to get rid of the darkening around the camera module that caught your eye, as well as simply increase the peak brightness value and make the colors more saturated. But why the frontalka stands unevenly in its opening is unclear.

Given the fact that there is also a normal resolution of 2400×1800 with an increased image refresh rate of 120 Hz, we can safely say that Xiaomi listened to the fans and did better. And there is also DC Dimming, which can be activated directly in the settings – it reduces the negative effect of PWM.

Let's talk about Iron. The smartphone runs on a bundle of Qualcomm Snapdragon 732g processor, 6 or 8 GB of RAM and 64 or 128 GB of its own memory. Despite the new name, the processor is already familiar-it's just an overclocked 730, which means we roughly understand what to expect from it, right? Not really. Together with the updated 120 Hz screen, the smartphone simply flies, surprising with its speed. With games, everything is also in order: World of Tanks and PUBG – on average they work flawlessly and the number of frames per second at such settings does not fall below 60. However, the power reserve here is clearly small, and it is difficult to guarantee the same stable operation in one and a half to two years.

What pleases, the smartphone is not devoid of an NFC chip, unlike its younger version without the prefix "Pro". That is, you can survive without cash. Additional features include an IR port for controlling appliances, a 3.5 mm mini Jack for connecting wired headphones, and a triple SIM card tray that can simultaneously insert two SIM cards and a microSD card up to 512 GB. And the Redmi Note 10 Pro has quite a passable vibration motor.

Now about the cameras-the main module here is 108 megapixels with a aperture of f/1.9. despite the fact that this sensor has already performed well several times in more expensive smartphones, you should not expect any revelations here. Of course, on a bright sunny day, you can get a sharp picture at all 108 megapixels, but in cloudy weather, the photos turn out to be slightly blurry and simply faded. It can be seen that neural networks and computational photography in general are not fully involved here. At night, the smartphone gives out dirty and blurry images, and to fix this, it often adds too much artificial clarity, which is especially bad for people's faces.

The other three cameras here are a 5 – megapixel Macro, a depth sensor, and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide. If the first two do not deserve attention, then the ultra-wide-angle module can be discussed in a little more detail. It is almost indistinguishable from last year's Redmi Note 9 Pro and suffers from the same sores: too soapy edges and low detail in general over the entire surface of the image. Against the background of night photos on the main module, ultra-wide images look head and shoulders higher. They are often not lubricated and have detailing. Usually everything is exactly the opposite. We hope that this jamb of firmware will be corrected in updates and the main camera will be upgraded at least a little.

Redmi Note 10 Pro can write video in 4K at 30 frames per second and in Full HD at 60 frames per second. At the same time, advanced software stabilization is available only in the second version. Unfortunately, it barely saves the situation. The smartphone only simulates a smooth picture that looks unnatural due to vibrations when walking.

A real gift for those who like to spend a lot of time on a smartphone will be a 5020 mAh battery. Traditionally for Redmi smartphones of recent years, the Note 10 Pro confidently withstands a day of hard "work" with games, photos and videos, or up to two days of adequate use.

And now, perhaps, the main bounty of Xiaomi – included with the smartphone is fast charging with a power of 33 W, which fills half the battery in half an hour. Well, that is, when you wake up on the third alarm clock with your smartphone discharged to zero, you will definitely have time to charge it for the day while you are having breakfast.

So, is it time to take stock? Surprisingly, the Redmi Note 10 Pro isn't the most typical mid – range smartphone. When most manufacturers sacrifice the materials of the case, display, camera, Xiaomi went the other way and cut a little everywhere. The lid here is glass, but the frame is plastic. The camera is 108 megapixels and has a lot of potential, but it doesn't shoot very cool. The screen is bright and at 120 Hz, but the frames and chin are still there.
